Hi there,

I am a product and furniture designer from New Zealand with 25 years international experience. 

Equal parts minimalist and maximalist, my design process involves distilling an object down to a single idea or detail, then amplifying this in ways novel, brave, joyous and memorable.

During my time designing for Allbirds, I refined this approach of distillation and amplification, designing shoes in celebration of the fibres and molecules that made them unique. I gained a deeper understanding of the true impact objects have on the world, and the opportunity designers have to shape that impact.

After several years in San Francisco, I am now based back in New Zealand, once again working from a quiet seaside location.
